Jessica HyunJeong Lee

Jessica HyunJeong Lee is an Assistant Professor at the College of the Holy Cross. Her research areas are in race and ethnic politics, immigration, political behavior, and political psychology. More specifically, her research agenda investigates questions at the intersection of immigration policy and political behavior in American politics and she is interested in how immigration policies shape identity formation, political attitudes, and political behavior.

Jessica's dissertation focuses on examining the role of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) on Asian and Latino undocumented young adults in shaping their identity, political attitudes, and political incorporation. Her other research projects investigate various questions regarding social identity, political participation, and partisanship of undocumented immigrants and racial minorities.

Jessica earned her Ph.D. in political science with a concentration in Race and Ethnic Politics from the University of California, Los Angeles. She also holds a Master of International Affairs - Public Policy, International Development, and Nonprofit Management and a B.A. in International Relations - Political Science and Economics from the University of California, San Diego.
