Jessica HyunJeong Lee

Jessica HyunJeong Lee is a doctoral candidate at the Political Science Department of University of California, Los Angeles. Her research areas are in race and ethnic politics, immigration, political psychology, and American politics. More specifically, her research agenda investigates questions at the intersection of immigration policy and political behavior in American politics and she is interested in how immigration policies shape identity formation, political attitudes, and political behavior.

Jessica's dissertation focuses on examining the role of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) on Asian and Latino undocumented young adults in shaping their identity, political attitudes, and political incorporation. Her other research projects investigate various questions regarding social identity, political participation, and partisanship of undocumented immigrants and racial minorities.

Jessica holds a B.A. in International Relations - Political Science and Economics and Master of International Affairs - Public Policy, International Development, and Nonprofit Managemenet from University of California, San Diego.
